The Arctic Monkeys were not the first, but by then the largest Internet Sensation of the decade. No record deal, no tour, only Myspace & Co was enough to break the record of Oasis in 1994 when the debut was published in early 2006: the earliest acquired gold record in the UK. The dry rock 'n roll sound that laid open to the influences of the Sex Pistols to the Libertines, brought, all of Europe in ecstasy. Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not is a wild spectacle in which the body is still not hold. The pieces are varied, healthy, but always remain true to the Mokeys style. Whether the band will remain relevant in the future is questionable, but the first album has its place in music history.
